Residing an Exterior Stairwell
An exterior stairwell needed to be completely resided, caulked and painted. CMR resided the stairwell with cement board siding and Azek trim paint to match the historical original, per request of the city’s Historical Society. Need
- Exterior stairwell needed to be completely resided, caulked and painted / engineered. Structural Simpson brackets needed to be used for lower roof rafters to be properly secured to top of brick work on parking lot side. Re roofing required for lower hip roof. A conceptually design green break metal needed to work on fluctuating sized soffit and facia areas ranging from 5” to 14” in size below roof drip edge for entire property to keep birds, bats, animals from entering mill building apartments. Expose bees nests behind brick work and have them removed or exterminated before reinstalling bricks with matching mortar joints to rest of building.
Solution
- Pull permits and consult with city's Historical Society for all approvals on exterior appearance. Set up staging with netting on active resident site of entire front for engineered rafter work. This work entailed replacing rotted sheathing with grace ice and water. Additionally reside exterior stairwell with cement board siding and azek trim paint all to match original per Historical Society's request. Refresh and redo all exterior trim with break metal - concept designed by our team to fluctuate in size, need and expansion in any weather season. Use 120’ boom lifts to accomplish this and 65’ - 85’ boom lifts to tackle the bee issue.
